The Puerto Rican NGO VIDAS, Servicios Sociales Episcopales, among other institutions, has recognized Fundación MAPFRE’s work in support of the San Miguel de Ponce Home, in a ceremony held to mark the NGO’s 25th anniversary.
Ever since 2011, the Foundation’s volunteers have been promoting educational projects and others related to the welfare of children and young people. The San Miguel Home takes in children aged 6-17 who have lost their home or have fallen victim to physical and emotional hurt. It is the only shelter in Puerto Rico that accepts children with adverse health conditions.
