The book Longevity and Aging in the Third Millennium: New Perspectives, presented recently by Fundación MAPFRE, analyzes the study of these two phenomena, “real challenges for today’s society”, from the point of view of demographics, the economy, health, biology and actuarial science, among others.

This work, produced by the university professors Antonio López Farré and José Miguel Rodríguez Pardo, refers to the importance of predictive and preventive medicine to combat aging and increase life expectancy, which currently stands at over 80 years in Spain.
